About Sweet Dreamery
First, let us welcome you to Sweet Dreamery Desserts! We are a family based dessert shop in Long Beach, CA. We focus on creating scratch-baked desserts like cookies, layer cakes, cake pops, dessert cakes and petit fours. All of our desserts are made in small batches to assure quality. Our desserts are made with real butter, pure vanilla extract and love. We believe that every bite should be as delicious as the next. It's heartwarming when a customer tells us that one of our desserts remind them of something their Mom or Grandmom made for them. Our desserts are like a throwback to childhood.
She was invited to take part in the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars and she decided to give it a shot! It was an amazing opportunity to take part in such a televised baking show. Competing was an honor and I had a lot of fun meeting fellow bakers, sharing our creations with the judges and the viewers.
We are invested in our community and enjoy participating in numerous local events as well as lending our support to local charities.
Our custom made and specialty orders have included creations for weddings, Princess themed desserts (even pull-apart cupcake dresses), a 40th high school reunion, numerous birthday cupcakes, event favors for weddings, prom parties and birthdays. We have been the go-to bakery for local high schools providing custom graduation favors for over 250 graduation attendees while remaining affordable. We are blessed to have great customers and look forward to continuing our efforts to bring you more cupcakes, cake pops and sweets good enough to dream about.
Our team includes Chef Andrea & Andrea’s daughter, Christian who offers a much appreciated helping hand and is our decoration maker. We are dedicated and we treat every order as if it were our own. About Andrea
Hello! My name is Andrea & I’m the owner of Sweet Dreamery Desserts. Just a little about me, I love to bake, I enjoy reading & I love my family. Traveling and taking in the world brings me joy. One of my joys in life is whipping up something sweet to share with fellow sweet lovers. I’ve enjoyed sharing my love of dessert making by teaching cupcake decorating classes. I especially love sharing the art of baking with youth and underprivileged children.
A love of baking can be found on both sides of my family. My paternal grandmother owned a bakery in Belize & my mom was a baker. Mom’s motto was, “If you can make it from scratch, then you should make it from scratch.” Mom baked the sweetest peach cobblers, cakes and the best hot cross buns from scratch. The delicious smell of her Belizean fruit cakes had people lining up at our door. So it’s true, baking is in my genes!
When I’m not busy running my internet-based bakery, I’m a proud mom of four sons & one girl. When you visit our vendor booth, you’re bound to see one or two of my kids helping me out. Even with their busy lives as young adults they’re always ready to throw on their Sweet Dreamery t-shirts. We also have two rescue dogs, Red & Isabella, whom we love dearly. We rescued them and in return they’ve rescued us by bringing so much joy into our lives. Being from a large family of mostly girls I had to find my niche. All of my siblings have lots of things we’re good at but, you need to find something that you love & can do well especially when there are so many other kids in your family. So, given that I have five siblings, I am grateful to have to have inherited my parents’ love of baking and to have a love of baking to call my own.
